ROUNDUP: Lake softball rallies for sweep of Springfield

 

SPRINGFIELD TWP., Ohio — The Lake Blue Streaks rallied for four runs in the top of the sixth inning to complete a double-header softball sweep of Springfield on Saturday afternoon.

Grace Hutcherson, who pitched Lake (3-1) to victory in the opener, capped the sixth-inning uprising with an RBI double plating Kari Snyder to make it 7-6 and then, having come on in relief, she slammed the door on the homestanding Spartans (0-2) to gain her second win of the day.

The Blue Streaks won the opener 6-4, scoring four runs in the fourth and snapping a 4-4 tie with two more in the sixth.
