Tomasello, Skonieczny are two-time Ironman champions

 

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio – Few ran through the Walsh Ironman Tournament on Friday and Saturday like hometown boy Nate Skonieczny.

The 138-pound Walsh Jesuit senior not only blew through his class for his second title in three years, Skonieczny made short work of a weight class with four wrestlers ranked in the top 16 in the nation by Intermatwrestle.com’s Josh Lowe.

It was pretty much a walk in the park for Skonieczny, who joined Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy’s Nathan Tomasello with two Ironman crowns.

Our interview with Terry Donahue is the latest in a series of Q&As with prominent sports figures.

Terry Donahue was at UCLA when the Bruins football team won.

Not just the everyday conference matchups, but the big games. He was 10-9-1 against USC in his tenure as coach from 1976 to 1995, and he won the Rose Bowl three times (1983, 1984, 1986).

WWE: 4 Effortless Ways of Making WWE Shows Interesting Again


If I was any good, I’d be in the WWE Creative, but I’m not, so I guess I’ll just churn out articles like these and hope they read this someday. 

Now I know that the recent ratings drop will improve once Football season ends, but it’ll still be a pitiful number. (compared to what WWE has had in the past).

It’ll be next to impossible to get back those hardcore fans who loved the Attitude Era and ergo hate the PG era unless you actually scrap PG, but that won’t be happening. So let’s concentrate of improving what we have.

By the way, I feel the WWE creative is one lazy bunch.

Kuchar celebrates double Cup triumph with spa treatment

THOUSAND OAKS, California – Matt Kuchar found an unusual way to celebrate his dizzying run of success in global golf this month, spending a day at the spa with his wife Sybi in China.

A week after helping the United States win the Presidents Cup over the Internationals in Australia, Kuchar and his playing partner Gary Woodland clinched the World Cup for their country in Haikou, China on Sunday.

Key Players Return For Ulster

Rory Best and Brian McLaughlin are pictured together after Ulster’s recent Heineken Cup pool victory over Clermont Auvergne at Ravenhill Ulster have been boosted by the return of a number of key players to the matchday 23 for Friday’s vital RaboDirect PRO12 game against the Scarlets at Ravenhill (kick-off 7.05pm). The province’s head coach Brian McLaughlin has made five changes in total to his starting line-up, including four in the pack.

Stephen Ferris, Rory Best, Craig Gilroy and Chris Henry will all start having been rested for last weekend’s defeat in Glasgow.

Ulster can also call on prop John Afoa who has returned from New Zealand.
