With the end of the season a little over three weeks away, Lewes FC are planning a couple of special events to round off their 125th year.
On Thursday May 5th, the club are holding a 125th anniversary gala dinner at the Pelham Hotel in Lewes with a three course meal, live music, and a football quiz.
The highlight of the night is a very special auction to help raise funds for the club which includes lots such as:
- Two Wimbledon Centre Court tickets
- The chance to have Ron Weasley actor Mark Williams read your children a chapter of Harry Potter at bedtime
- A day in a recording studio
- Two tickets to a Have I Got News For You recording
- An exclusive jewellery piece from David Smith
- An original David Lucas painting
and many more.
Individual tickets for the event are £50 and tables of eleven or nine can also be booked. Spaces are limited to just 150 and nearly half those are already sold. To make a reservation, email charlie@lewesfc.com but don’t delay to avoid disappointment.
As well as the dinner, Lewes FC are throwing open the doors of the Dripping Pan on FA Cup Final day, Saturday 14th May, from 11am – 6pm for The Big Kickabout.
Entry is free and thanks to the special permission of Roger the groundsman, the club is allowing free access on to the pitch.
If you bring a football you can have a kickabout and if you bring along a picnic, you can find a (penalty) spot to settle down in and eat your sandwiches. Don’t worry though, the kickabout will be separate from the picnic!
The bar will be open along with foodstalls, plus the FA Cup final will be shown in the Rook Inn during the afternoon too.
So why not round off the 125th season of Lewes Football Club, and the first as a community-owned club, by attending one or both of these special events?
