Milan say no to Fab

AC Milan say they do not have the funds to pursue a deal for Cesc Fabregas and have pulled out of the running.

Barcelona are leading the chase to sign Fabregas and are locked in talks with Arsenal in an attempt to agree a fee but AC Milan have also been linked with a swoop.

However if Fabregas is to leave the Emirates Stadium he will only be interested in a move to Barca, while Milan say they would not have the funds to finalise a deal in any case.

“Compete with Barcelona for (Cesc) Fabregas?” Milan CEO Adriano Galliani told Sky Sports Italia. “Fabregas is an Arsenal player and would have an exorbitant cost. At this time he’s not a target of ours.”

Arsenal are still fighting to keep hold of Fabregas but Barca are determined to land their man before the transfer window closes and another bid is said to be in the pipeline.
