Lewes Football Club’s recent signings have very much been of the playing variety.
But now the club has moved to strengthen the off-field team with the acquisition of Steve Duly as Business Development Director.
Duly is a well-known figure in Sussex football, having spent six years as Managing Director of Crawley Town Football Club, overseeing the club when the won promotion to the Football Conference in 2004.
Since then he has added to his experience in the non-League arena with spells as General & Commercial Manager of Basingstoke Town, and Chief Executive of Farnborough.
Community Board member Charlie Dobres commented: “We are building the foundations of sustainability for this club. That means, within budgetary considerations, we want the best talent in every position.”
“I believe that Steve’s appointment sends a clear message to the business community that they will get the highest level of service when they deal with Lewes Football Club.”
Duly added: “I am really pleased to be joining the team here at Lewes FC. The feeling I have got since first meeting the Board and they explained the community vision has been really positive.”
“I am relishing working with them in getting out into the Town and surrounding areas and getting our message across. I am sure there are going to be some exciting times ahead for the club and our business supporters.”
